Atilla is well

Atilla did have a prolapse, but we took her back to Little Hen Rescue, and they made her well again. She has a purple bottom. Dad says it is because of the medicine they used. We also have two new hens, Hope and Faith, but unfortunately Kesagatami died last week. We were very sad, but we think that she had a really good retirement with us, and she looked a lot better (and fluffier!) than when she arrived.

Atilla is ill

Today, one of my chickens was bleeding but she has lots of energy. Dad thinks it might be a prolapse so we are going to take her to the vet first thing tomorrow. I hope she isn't scared. It's Atilla, I feel sorry for her, I will put up a photo of her when she's better. I don't want my other hens to try too hard, now, in case they get a prolapse, too.

Here are Charity and BMW on the table and Agatha and Kesagatami on the ground.

Alive and Well!!

Hello again,

My chickens are doing really well. Every morning my dad and I let the hens out of their house, and we check for eggs, we put some more straw or bedding in their house, and if they need more food or water we top it up for them.

We seem to be getting about 1 egg every other day, but last week we had three eggs in one go!

My dad says that our chickens are looking much more healthy and well, now that they are properly free range and getting plenty to eat!

Bye for now

A busy weekend!

Yesterday, I went to the theatre with the Brownies so I cleaned my hens out today, instead. We have 8 eggs to eat now. We need to eat more eggs, I think!!!
